  A very good handbook diagnosing the issues surrounding educating the most able children, with a series of interesting case studies of alternate systems trying to get it right. It does repeat itself a bit, which can be wearing, and I don't feel that the book is particularly useful for a classroom teacher/5(15). I recommend books by John Holt all the time in my The Educating Parents Homeschooling and Unschooling group. I read his second book, How Children Learn, and then his first book, How Children Learn when my eldest child was aged 4. I followed those up with his book Teach Your Own and our home educating odyssey began.5/5.
